Quotes and Payments

A good quote / estimate takes some time and research, starting with a visit to your house or project site where we can take measurements & pictures, and to discuss your ideas, concerns, wants and needs.  Once we are able to work-up a proposal, the quote will be explained, so that you (the customer) understand all of the estimates for materials, labor and administration (i.e.: permits and inspections).

Throughout this process, be mindful of the difference between TV shows & internet posts versus “reality,” as the former don’t always address realistic pricing for the homeowner … they simply show the “before” and (WOW, fantastic) “after.”  Meaning that, often these shows have someone come into the home and start tearing things apart in order to get to the problem, and then fixing the issue in a timely and professional manner.  What’s often missing is the discussion about costs, budget, timing, labor involved, who pays, etc.  In addition, a crew of 15 may make “quick work” of a project, but remember that every hour on the job equals 15 “man-hours” — not just one.

Your project will be estimated with realistic pricing for quality products to be installed by trained, licensed, insured & bonded professional contractors.  If you feel that the price is “too high,” we will be happy to discuss options and alternatives for different products and materials, as long as they do not compromise safety or established building codes. To that end, while we welcome competition — also be weary of unrealistically low quotes from “contractors.”  Just as some TV show(s) have set unrealistic expectations, “contractors” whose quotes seem “too good to be true” often are.  Using an unlicensed, uninsured contractor (who will likely want to be paid only in cash) will surely start your project off on the wrong footing!

In a nutshell, get multiple quotes and do your homework — you can trust us to do ours, and we guarantee that you will be happy with our work!
